Culture route

Helsinki is a spectacular city that has a lot to offer even for the most demanding vacationist. Enjoy the fancy cafes and take your time to admire the beautiful attractions this route offers.

Hernesaaren ranta and löyly

Hernesaaren Ranta is a unique venue that gives the authentic Mediterranean vibe even though located on the Baltic sea’s shore. Locals come here to enjoy the warm sunny summer days, that is if they are in the city and not in their summer cottage.  The palm trees, great cuisine, multiple entertainment options such as concerts and sports broadcasts and spectacular view over Finnish archipelago guarantee relaxing time in the most trendy spot of Helsinki.

Pay also a visit to the Löyly. With a small fee, you can try the saunas and the steam room and dip into the Baltic sea to experience sauna at its best!  You might also spot Finnish celebrities here sipping cafe and enjoying the majestic view.

Cafe Ursula and Kaivopuisto

Kaivopuisto area is beautiful especially in the summertime and we strongly advise you to take your time to explore the park and its surroundings. The cluster of embassies and the beautifully detailed mansions and houses built at the beginning of 20th century surround the lively Kaivopuisto park.

In the seafront, the Cafe Ursula welcomes you with excellent customer service and amazing view. Take a cafe and enjoy Finnish food in a relaxing atmosphere.

Kauppatori’s ambience is one of a kind.  Buy fresh fish, vegetables and berries right from the local fishermen and farmers. Kauppatori is also an excellent place to buy souvenirs.

Helsinki Cathedral

This church is one of the most stunning landmarks in Helsinki. The Cathedral was built to praise the Grand Duke of Finland in 1852.  The neoclassical design is rather simple when compared to other churches in the area. We suggest taking your time to visit the church. You might catch your breath when climbing the front stairs so drive with your Rentskoot to the back of the church for more effortless access.

Art museum Kiasma

The art museum Kiasma is one of the leading contemporary museums in Scandinavia.  The museum’s architecture is an astonishing example of a design that is intended to last time. The white curved walls, glass surfaces and bent ceiling are there to embrace your every sense. The 12-14€ fee allows you to take your time to explore this modern art museum’s architecture and its collections.

The Natural history museum

This remarkable collection of dinosaurs, mammals and other fauna will ensure you a great and informative end for this route. You get a great overview of the Finnish animals too. The huge mammoth at the entrance is already worth seeing and its especially kids and kids minded favourite.
